The National Diabetes Prevention Program is a lifestyle change program for people who are at risk for type 2 diabetes. This program helps participants make healthier nutrition choices, be more physically active, manage stress better and achieve a healthier weight. Classes meet weekly for six months and at least once per month for an additional six months.
This class will start in September and will be held on Tuesdays from 12:00 - 1:00 pm.
Free informational sessions, called Session Zero classes will be held on August 1,8 and/or 15 at 12:00 PM in the Community Conference Room in the Town and Country shopping center, 1015 South Broadway, Minot, ND.
Medicare beneficiaries should bring the results of a recent blood glucose test (fasting, 2-hour random or A1c) to this informational session, to help determine eligibility for the program.
